Kath Larkin Support Fund
Katherine (Kath) Larkin was an unselfish volunteer who served the Newmarket Skating Clubas a member of the Board of Directors for many years, as Badge Test Chairperson, Synchronized Skating Chairperson and Skate Canada Test Chairperson. Kath leaves behind husband Mike, son Tom, and skating daughters Kate and Beth. Kath also leaves behind thousands of memories with hundreds of families that she touched in the skating world. Kath always had a smile on her face, was always willing to help and was a volunteer that never said “no”.
What better way to honour Kath’s memory than to create a sponsorship fund in her name. Kath believed, as we all do, that every child should be given the opportunity to learn how to skate. The purpose of the Kath Larkin Support Fund is to provide financial assistance to families to cover up to $200 of the registration fee for the Kidskate or Canskate Learn-To-Skate programs.
